In this video we use a given information to write the equation of a tangent line and of a secant line and then use those to approximate the value of a function. We then reason that the value of the function is between the tangent approximation and the secant approximation.

This is a good quick practice problem for the AP Calculus AB and BC exams. You might see something like this on the multiple choice or the free response (FRQs). Notation matters! If something is an approximation, use the approximately equal to sign!
