It's a good idea to dilute potassium silicate and calcium/magnesium stock solutions 1:1 with reverse osmosis water before linking them up to your auto-dosing equipment. Even though the amount of stock solution dosed on each dosing event is tiny, diluting 1:1 first with reverse osmosis water helps to maximize solubility in the feed solution.
