Building confidence through play. Halo as a puppy was scared of hula hoops especially the rattling noise they made when moving and by simply playing games where the hoop was moved away from him at first and he made the choice to approach and explore he soon found hula hoops to be his favorite thing. Most people bring the dog to what they are scared of or move the thing the dog is scared of into the dogs space, but by using movement away from the dog, you can build the dogs interest and confidence in moving towards whatever it is they are concerned about. You can even turn it into a fun game, where the dog starts to love what they were initially scared of #dogtraining #dogtrainer #positivereibforcement working on a dogs fears to build a confident dog
