The mechanism in which Cyanuric Chloride can be used to produce HCl in-situ using ethanol. Strong acids are often needed in reactions however, in certain cases, simply adding strong acids can cause the desired compound to be broken apart. Therefore, cyanuric chloride can be used along with ethanol in order to produce hydrochloric acid in-situ which is a more mild way of obtaining a strong acid within a reaction.
