We’re talking about a foil impressioning tool — a legitimate, but messy and unreliable, lock picking and locksmithing technique that uses a strip of foil on a prepared blank to take impressions from binding pins as the tool is turned. It’s a variation of impressioning, not some criminal super-weapon.

Lock picking is about skill, patience, and understanding how locks actually work. It’s a puzzle. Not a crime. Let’s stop the fear-mongering, eh?
