While every camera has limited Dynamic range, there are ways to increase your captured dynamic range.

Notes:
Excellent for landscape videography. However I will always advocate for solving the problem on set whenever possible. Altering lighting, using a GND (when applicable) would always be preferable to the method shown in this video, however if it's not possible, then here's a solution for saving the shot in post.
I actually had a whole section in this video about GND's that ultimately got cut cause it kind of got away from the main purpose of the video. With the goal being to recreate RED's HDRX effect which is super cool, but ultimately having to remain stationary is a huge downside.
So did I trick you with the new feature I edited into resolve? If you've read this far try going back an taking another look at that section. I put a ton of little Easter eggs in there and impossible features.
