The crew of U.S. Coast Guard Surf Station Station Noyo River, California, didn’t pass up the opportunity for training when the National Weather Service declared a Beach Hazard Advisory in their area of responsibility last week.

Station Noyo River, and other surf stations located along the Pacific coastlines, intentionally train in rough seas to better enhance their response tactics that are used to help mariners and boaters in distress.
