On Aug. 20, 2024, the USCG completed the final MH-65E upgrade, delivering the last MH-65E Dolphin helicopter from the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, NC to the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Training Center in Mobile, AL.
In total, 90 MH-65Ds were converted to MH-65Es. The avionics upgrade to the “E” configuration provides our aircrews with improved search and rescue capabilities.
Upgrades include the modern "glass cockpit" technology that increases pilot and aircrew situational awareness while additional improvements focused on the reliability and capability of the automatic flight control system, enhanced digital weather and surface radar, and multifunctional displays with more accurate fuel calculations.
