USC has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 50% since 2014 and water usage has been cut by more than 25% according to data published in Assignment: Earth FY24 Annual report. Assignment Earth is USC’s ambitious sustainability framework for guiding efforts through the LA28 Olympics and beyond. Established by USC President Carol Folt in 2022 it includes 27 goals organized under five domains (Education, Research, Inclusion, Operations, Engagement).
