Fantastic, affordable, and made in the USA? Yes pelease! Today I will share my review of the Utrecht Artist's Gouache: tidd.ly/4rg0RNP
I purchased this gouache in the Blick NJ store in August of 2025, it can also be found online for about $51 a set or between $7.55-11.60 per 14ml tube. There are 24 colors in the range. *Note: the mixing set contains 3 cadmium colors.
Pros:
Price
Beautiful opaque colors
Highly pigmented
No bronzing in masstone
Pigment and lightfast info on tube
This set mixes superbly
Cons:
The cool red (Rose Tyrien) is not lightfast. I wish they had chosen a Quin Rose or magenta to have a more lightfast option.
Bottom line: these paints were a dream to use. I will definitely try more colors as I run out.
