At least 5 people, including a child, were killed and over 50 others injured after shrapnel from a US missile struck a home during a wedding celebration in Sirik, southern Iran, on September 1, according to the Iranian Red Crescent.

In retaliation for the renewed US strikes on September 2, Tehran has launched retaliatory missile and drone attacks targeting US positions across Jordan, Kuwait, Iraq, and Bahrain.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that it does not target civilians. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump reiterated to Fox News that Iran would be “totally wiped out” if it continues launching retaliatory strikes against the US
