The U.S. military has shot down another mysterious flying object over Lake Huron. This is the fourth time in a week that something like this has happened. The octagonal object, flying at 20,000 feet over Michigan's Upper Peninsula, was detected by radar and shot down by a U.S. F-16 fighter jet. While the object was not assessed to be a military threat, it was determined to be a flight hazard and shot down with an AIM 9x missile to ensure the safety of U.S. skies and citizens. The object was described as having an octagonal shape with strings hanging off and no discernible payload. The U.S. military is planning to recover the object to determine its origin and purpose.
