Visitors to the United States will probably be confused by our miles and gallons and Fahrenheit temperatures. Even if you haven't been to the US, you've probably heard these terms in our TV and movies. Be confused no longer! Watch this video, and you'll be ready to understand American measures for distance, weight, and volume in no time. I also discuss the merits of the metric system vs. the US customary units, and why I find that most arguments in favor of the latter come up short.

This video contains an inadvertent response to @johnnyharris who in a recent video thought he would never be able to learn the metric system. It is an inadvertent response, since I saw his video after this one was completed, but my commentary is nevertheless related to his thesis.
