The Mk 19 (pronounced Mark Nineteen) is an automatic, belt-fed, air-cooled, blowback-operated grenade launcher. Originally designed for the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War to protect river patrol boats, it was later adopted and heavily utilized by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps as a devastating crew-served support weapon.
