Troopers assigned to the 3d Squadron, 3d Cavalry Regiment (CAV REG), 1st Cavalry Division, conduct a squad live-fire (LF) exercise at Fort Hood, Texas.

Troopers dismounted from Stryker vehicles, engaged targets with live ammunition and established a hasty defense while operating under physically and mentally demanding conditions, strengthening the tactical proficiency, decision-making and readiness required for combat operations.
