RED FLAG-Alaska 22 was a major, multinational air combat training exercise directed by the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF). It took place from July 28 to August 12, 2022, with primary flight operations hosted out of Eielson Air Force Base and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska.

Like all Red Flag iterations, crews were divided into defensive "Blue" coalition forces and aggressive "Red" forces (frequently simulated by dedicated Aggressor squadrons) to replicate high-threat, near-peer modern aerial warfare.
