This weekend we hit the US 50 yard and garage sale from Bedford to Brownstown Indiana. Sometimes people ask why a person would want to spend a day stopping at yard sales. Well, to find cheap stuff seems like a pretty good reason. Here is a little video of some of the stuff I found.

Nancy's Onion Pie

1 cup finely crushed saltine cracker
1/4 cup margarine

Mix above & press into bottom & sides of 8" pie plate.

2 cups thinly sliced onion, separated into rings (2 medium)
2 tablesps margarine
3/4 cup milk
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/4 cup shredded sharp cheese

Cook onion in margarine till tender - not brown; place in crumb shell.
Combine milk, eggs, 3/4 tsp salt & dash pepper; pour over onions.
Sprinkle with cheese & crisp bacon.

Bake @ 350 deg till knife inserted 1/4 way from edge comes out clean - abt 30 min.

May garnish with onion rings & paprika.
