Upper Mill Creek Canyon Night Ride on Great Western Trail Oct 2020
This 7-mile upside-down lollipop loop started from Mill Creek Upper Trailhead and traced the following route between the top of Mill Creek Canyon Road and the Wasatch Crest Trail:
Old Pine Canyon Road to Great Western Trail (GWT) to the junction with Wasatch Crest (North) to GWT to Big Water back to the Mill Creek Upper Trailhead
Completion of this section of the Great Western Trail carries extra significance for me as it was the last piece of off-pavement GWT I hiked or biked between Provo Canyon (SR 189) and Parley's Canyon (I-80). With some alternates used, my GWT route between these 2 points covered about 66 miles completed in various overnight trips, day hikes, and day rides. Check out my GWT playlist linked here:
