I have upgraded my PC’s wireless card from the Intel AX210 WiFi 6E to the Intel BE200 WiFi 7 module, in order to test more WiFi7 devices in the future.

According to Intel, the BE200 has limited support on Windows 10. Therefore, I upgraded to Windows 11 and installed the latest Intel driver (23.170.0.1). Link speed on a WiFi 7 SSID (5GHz) reached up to 2882 Mbps, but the actual Internet Speedtest and iperf3 performance was below expectations (slower than the AX210).

Tested with Ubuntu 24, the BE200 worked out of the box with pre-installed driver. Link speed reached 2161 Mbps on a 5GHz WiFi 7 SSID, and iperf3 throughput was around 1.15–1.2 Gbps. Although 6GHz is supported, I could not connect to any 6GHz WiFi 7 SSID during testing. This will be investigated further in upcoming videos.
