[EN] Day 117, orbit 1811 â In this timelapse, Iâm installing the Columbus Data Management infrastructure (CDMI), successor to the Multi-Purpose Communication Computer (MPCC) đ . Think of it as replacing an aging internet box at home with a next-generation system: faster, more powerful, more reliable!
Columbus is an amazing laboratory, but to make the most of the science conducted onboard, researchers on the ground need to be able to monitor and send commands in real-time to their experiments, and of course to downlink data đĄ.
CDMI aims at providing real-time communication and reliable downlink between ground teams and numerous payloads in Columbus, over LAN or Wi-Fi!
Science is what drives us during a mission, but behind every piece of data sent back to Earth, there are many systems quietly at work. Many thanks to all the engineers and technicians who make research run smoothly on board đ

Columbus est un fantastique laboratoire de recherche, mais pour tirer pleinement parti de la science rĂ©alisĂ©e Ă bord, les chercheurs doivent pouvoir surveiller leurs expĂ©riences et envoyer des commandes en temps rĂ©el depuis le sol â et bien sĂ»r rĂ©cupĂ©rer les donnĂ©es đĄ.
Le CDMI a pour objectif dâassurer ces communications en temps rĂ©el, ainsi que la transmission fiable des donnĂ©es entre les Ă©quipes au sol et de nombreuses charges utiles dans Columbus, via le rĂ©seau local ou le Wi-Fi !
Notre mission est avant tout scientifique, mais pour chaque donnĂ©e transmise sur Terre, il y a de nombreux systĂšmes qui travaillent en coulisses. Un immense merci Ă tous les ingĂ©nieurs et techniciens qui permettent Ă la recherche de se dĂ©rouler sereinement Ă bord đ

![A beautiful robotic choreography above Earth đ

[EN] Day 113, orbit 1753 â I love robotic operations! đŠŸ In this timelapse, controllers on the ground are repositioning Dextre, our robotic handyman currently installed at the end of the Canadarm2. They used Dextre to unload equipment from the unpressurised Dragon trunk. Such a beautiful choreography to watch with Earth in the background!
Dextre is designed for delicate tasks and is attached to one end of Canadarm2 (the same robotic arm that we use to capture visiting cargo vehicles). Dextre is very often used to place scientific experiments outside of the ISS.
Go science! Go robotics!

[FR] Jour 113, orbite 1753 â Jâadore les opĂ©rations robotiques ! đŠŸ Dans ce timelapse, les contrĂŽleurs au sol repositionnent Dextre, notre robot-bricoleur actuellement installĂ© Ă lâextrĂ©mitĂ© du Canadarm2. Ils lâont utilisĂ© pour dĂ©charger du matĂ©riel depuis la soute non-pressurisĂ©e du cargo Dragon. Un vrai ballet spatial, avec la Terre en toile de fond !
Dextre est conçu pour les opĂ©rations dĂ©licates; il est attachĂ© Ă lâune des extrĂ©mitĂ©s du Canadarm2 (le bras robotique qui sert notamment Ă capturer les vĂ©hicules cargos). Dextre est trĂšs souvent utilisĂ© pour positionner des expĂ©riences scientifiques Ă lâextĂ©rieur de la Station.
