For years I've been dreaming about a big powerful air compressor for my shop. And its finally happening! I got chatting to my mate Henk from Air Systems and a brand new helical screw compressor from Detroit Air entered my world.
We commission this 10 hp unit, take it through its paces and compare helical screw compressors to the more common reciprocal, piston types.
With air delivery to the shop now upgraded from 8 cfm to 42 cfm, I will be ready to do some grit blasting of the 1939 Hudson frame and other rusty parts. Next level, here in my forest workshop! 😎
