This timelapse shows main units 11 and 12 over the course of five months. We replaced the digital governors, exciters, powerhouse controls, and governor mechanical system for these two units. This work is being done for each pair of turbine units in the McNary powerhouse, and construction has been progressing steadily for the past couple years.

This project is part of the McNary Modernization efforts. These efforts will ensure McNary Lock and Dam are better prepared to face the future and ensure the Walla Walla District is able to fulfill its mission.
