Ever feel like you need to upgrade your processor because you need to improve your computer's performance? Here in this video, I will show you a step-by-step tutorial to show you how to upgrade your Intel processor. I will show you how to upgrade from an Intel 6th Generation Pentium processor to an Intel 7th Generation i7 processor. This video will apply to any other motherboards but must have the same socket. In this video, the socket is an LGA 1151. The motherboard is an ASUS MAXIMUS VIII GENE. Even though I use the stock fan from the Pentium processor for the i7 processor for demonstrating purposes, it is still a recommendation to get yourself an aftermarket heatsink. For a powerful processor like the Intel i7 7700k, it is strongly recommended that you get a liquid cooling heatsink or any powerful air heatsink. Another thing is that you do not need to get expensive thermal paste if you do plan on using an Intel stock fan. I simply purchased thermal compound for only $1 at Fry's Electronics!
