Alright, after working out a few bugs I think I've actually got this computer set up to record and edit. Windows 8 seems to not like a few of the codecs I preferred so yeah anyway. I uploaded this video twice and each time Vegas ignored my brightness settings (never did that in Windows 7...) so the video ended up 50% darker than it normally would for who knows what reason. So basically there's four factors that can affect brightness etc. 1) Game itself 2) Recording program 3) Editing program 4) Youtube. It's a lot of trial and error to make sure the error factor is as close to 0 on each of these so hopefully this times the charm.
