● found this powerful little12v water pump at the wreckers in a Toyota Prius and I tested it on a 12volt source and then tried it on a 12v solar panel. It's called an inverter coolant pump. It's from a 2004 to 2009 Prius. This little 12v pump is located just behind the drivers side headlight under the hood. I connected it to a meter to get an actual amperage reading while it was pumping water connected to a solar panel and then to a 12v battery charger power source. It's a very quiet little water pump you can barely hear and has good output. Would be good for indoor hydroponics, outdoor hydroponics, pond pump or anywhere you need quiet constant water circulation.

Specs when connected to 11.2V source
● Creates 4 psi of pressure
● Head pressure: approx. 8ft. (2.4m)
● Volume:
6ft. (1.8m) .9 us gal (3.6L)/MIN.
4ft. (1.2m) 1.6 us gal (6.0L)/MIN.
2ft. (.6m) 2 us gal (7.8L)/MIN.
● Inlet and outlet pipe size is 5/8".
● It will not run in reverse. It will spark if connected wrong but will survive.
● Runs quite nicely up to 15V (I had it connected to 17v and still ran fine but to be safe, stick to max.15V).
● With the female terminal socket at the bottom, while holding it in your hand, the right side is positive and the left is negative.
● Rubber mounts are easily pulled off of the pump.
● It is a brushless dc motor.
● Runs very quietly.
● When at the wreckers, look under the hood behind the left front headlight, that is where you'll find this little pump.
