...Moving on, in terms of the writing of Bayonetta 3, again, all Iāll share is this screenshot, I donāt want to spoil too much, but I donāt want to rule out that there could be a rewriting of Bayonetta 3, a sort of hard retcon that Iām going to talk about soon in a future video. But also, they could be writing a continuation that fixes or the very least, just answers everything and explains the events more clearly. Not going to rule out the possibility of some conflict about the writing development, you know, some writers have this idea, some have this, and eventually all parties just have enough. But Iām just going to optimistically think that Kamiya wanted to pursue other endeavours. Now, in terms of whoās actually going to be writing the next Bayonetta games, taking a look at his resume with the Bayonetta franchise, he was the Director of Bayo 1, Supervised Bayo 2 only, with Yusuke Hashimoto as Director, and with Bayo 3 there were 3 writers, Natsumi Satake, Miguel Angel Sanchez Jr, and Yuya Jin; with Kamiya being the scenario writer, and Supervising Director.
However, with Origins being directed by Abebe Tinari, the chief scenario writer was Hideki Kamiya but he was also a Supervising Director. So my conclusion is that Kamiya came with the foundational story and scenarios for this franchise all the way up to Bayonetta 9, but it feels like the story just got swayed with too many writers and perspectives which is not a bad thing, it just can get really messy if not supervised well. I donāt want to say that the writing decisions for the future of this series is what possibly led to him looking for new things, but itās possible. What makes me think that is because he looked so eager to speak about the game and itās future in the developers commentary a few months back, and to have him just āleaveā out of nowhere is quite sad and sudden. I wonāt be surprised if they do release a Bayonetta 3: Directorās Cut or Deluxe Edition that shows more things about Bayonetta 3; like more scenes, more chapters, etc maybe something that Kamiya stubbornly didnāt want. Heck maybe theyāll release it on the new upcoming Switch that has been rumoured like crazy. The only variable that may just, and I know this sounds quite sad, that may just revive the series is for Kamiya to at least take a break from writing in it. If Kamiyaā¦
