My other video about putting wings on a quadcopter wasn't too popular, but wjewell81 wished to know of any update. So, here is an update :)
This quadcopter is an Estes Proto-X, or also known as the Hubsan Q4...which means it works fine with a larger Hubsan transmitter.
On first fitting the mini body to it (made from dinner plate foam and 2 thin pieces of carbon fiber) one motor suddenly quit while flying.
My bodge repair seems to have worked though and it's returned to the sky.
The Fairey Gannet now also has new wings and is intended to receive R/C gear at some point.
