MORE ABOUT THE NOISY FUEL PUMP FIX:
The key was to make a mount to eliminate any metal-to-metal connection between the pump and the frame of the RV or van. Here's what I did using spare parts. Using some firm plastic packing material, a thin rubber strap and a couple Velcro cable ties, I created a padded shock mount for the fuel pump. The first step was to carve out a groove for the pump to sit firmly. Then I cut slots on either side of the padding and slid the rubber piece and Velcro cable tie through to hold the pump in place. Finally, I used washers and long screws to anchor the packing material to the frame of the RV. Be sure there's no connection between the screws and pump.
