Sally Van Nuys, Artist | Upcycle a Thread Color Chart into a Mixed Media Folio | Use What You Have to Create Cool Art @SallyVanNuysMixedMediaArtist | Uploaded December 2019 | Updated October 2024, 4 hours ago.
Welcome Everyone!
I took this old thread color chart and I am using it as the base for my art folio. I covered it with vintage-looking papers, added paint and drips and ink to age it. I gave it my ephemera spin on one side, then on the inside, I added paint and drips, Tim Holtz collage paper, some washi tape, and drywall tape, and finally some inspirational quotes. I think the inside would be a perfect place to add some personal photos.
If you like this folio, you might want to stay tuned to 19:25 of the video because I have an announcement that includes the finished folio and more!
Some of the supplies I used today are listed in my Amazon Affiliate listings. I receive a small compensation if you order using my links. It really helps me replenish my supplies so I can continue producing free videos for you! It costs you nothing extra to order via my links. You can find all my most-used and best-loved supplies here:
