ZERO WASTE ATING PAG-ASA

Today marks the first death anniversary of Luz Escalante-Sabas, the mother of our conductor and pioneer of the Zero Waste Management movement in the Philippines.

Luz Sabas served as an inspiration for Musikalikasan, the 24th International Tour of the UP Concert Chorus, which incorporated a repertoire that sends a message of awareness, appreciation, and care for the environment.

She also wrote the words of a song in the Musikalikasan repertoire, “Zero Waste Ating Pag-asa”, which was then arranged by our conductor, Janet Sabas-Aracama. The song promotes zero waste as the answer and hope for the preservation of the environment.
