"Up the River During Qingming" is a famous genre painting in East Asia. It is a portrayal of prosperity and affluence along a river in China, and it captures the daily life of people and the landscape of the city. The Qing court version was produced by five Qing court painters and presented to Emperor Qianlong in year 1736.
