With the 100th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb fast approaching the Unplugged Performance Tesla Model S Plaid Race Car aka "Dark Helmet" returned to the track to test newly developed upgrades throughout the vehicle. Famed driver Randy Pobst returns behind the wheel after a class-winning campaign last year. Hypercar Invitational hosted many of the world's most epic cars and we were honored to attend. The purpose of our time on track was to further dial in our brand new suspension and aerodynamics. Although we did not attempt to beat our previous and still standing lap record (1:28.2), we do plan to return to Laguna Seca at a future date to re-set our EV lap record from last year.
