We have taken the Ice Bucket Challenge as a whole choir! Done outside the UP College of Music, we took the challenge dressed in our performance costumes, after being challenged by our hosts in the US and Europe. But still, we will also be donating to the ALS Association to help their research on ALS.
What is Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Lou Gehrig's Disease, or ALS? It is a disease that causes the degeneration of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to total paralysis. Despite being one of the most common neuromuscular diseases worldwide, there is still no known cure for it. Research is still ongoing, led by the ALS Association.
