We're reviewing Unto the End, a cinematic and hard-as-balls platformer, from the first-time developer and husband-and-wife duo at 2Ton Studios. It is available on PC via Steam and GOG, Google Stadia, and as of yesterday, is available on all consoles. Unto the End follows the story of a father on his long journey home to his family, and is filled with wonderful 2D artwork, which I would compare to other recent hits such as Roki. The main focus of the game is the combat, which is advertised as “adaptive to the way you play”. Does this indie game fight its way into our hearts, or does it simply stab us in the back one too many times? Stick around for my review to find out!

In my second episode of Lets Play Tinkertown, I spruce up the future castle a little bit more, find some strange statues filled with good loot, and stumble across my first dungeon! We also being crafting our first set of mixed armor. The gameplay in Tinkertown is surprisingly smooth and fun for an early access game, and Im looking forward to seeing what the developer adds in along the way.

In my first Lets Play in Tinkertown, I discuss general gameplay and controls, begin planning my future castle, and take down lots of Goblins and Slimes. The Tinkertown gameplay is smooth and simple, although a few more episodes in we start to find some crippling glitches. As a reminder, Tinkertown is currently in the Early Access phase on PC, and bugs are to be expected. That is the point of Early Access testing anyway, so the more gameplay and reporting the community contributes, the better the end product will hopefully be. Tinkertown will be released in full in the next several months, according to the developer Headup, and will be available on Mac, Linux, and all consoles.
