Join the GEF Team and representatives of partner countries as we present the latest news on the Global Biodiversity Framework Fund (GBFF) ahead of its fifth Council meeting. This session will provide an overview of the GBFF’s achievements to date, including on how we are meeting targets, notably on support to SIDS and LDCs, partnering with international financial institutions, and actions by Indigenous Peoples and local communities (IPLCs). We will also present updates on current trends and topics such as resource mobilization, the results framework and guidelines on actions by IPLCs.
Following presentations by the GEF Team and contributions from partner countries and the CBD Secretariat, we will hold a clinic to enable countries, agencies and other partners to ask for practical guidance and recommendations on specific proposals and projects.
