#transformersone #ASUS #asuspcdiy - Autobots ROLL OUT! Taking inspiration from the very device which allows the Autobots to transform, this custom T-Cog gaming PC build certainly hits hard.

From planning, to modifying, custom painting and of course adapting the hardware to fit. This has been one heck of a project from start to finish.

ASUS teamed up with Paramount Pictures and asked me to jump on board to create this truly one of a kind, custom PC build ready for the movie launch. Needless to say, it's been a blast.

Taking the core foundations of the case (Mars Gaming MCorb) and adapting it to fit the desired image wasn't the easiest of tasks. Dismantling the chassis by drilling out dozens of rivets before replacing them with M3 nuts and bolts was time consuming but necessary and rewarding. The biggest hurdle had to be cutting the case and adapting it to support a 360mm radiator (by default it only supports a single 120mm internally).

Working on movie mod projects always allow for some real creative freedom. This Transformers ONE project was no exception! Myself and the team had a great blast at the private screening event in London this past week and MASSIVE high fives to person who won this PC as part of the event giveaway.

The TD500 Mesh V2 brings that iconic styling weve grown to love, including the polygonal mesh design front panel which seamlessly integrates into the etched glass side panel. Throw some lighting inside the case and see those etched glass sections diffract the light for some really unique vibes rarely found on other cases. Cooler Master did great by including three CF120 ARGB fans to the front, these perform extremely well, but I wouldve liked to see an exhaust fan included too. This would essentially allow you to build an air cooled motherboard and simply transfer into the chassis without the need for additional fans. Alas, to keep the costs down I can see why they did this! Moving on to the Hyper 212 Halo CPU cooler. A minimalist design at an extremely low price point (under $40 at the time of writing) but dont let the price fool you into thinking cheap performance! This thing crushes it. It goes without say that this re-introduction has been an absolute blast! The TD500 Mesh V2 is a very high quality chassis capable of housing most, if not all of the latest hardware with a very unique and interesting design language. I love this build, genuinely. Around 16 months ago I built a similar system in the white chassis with a liquid cooler but all the while I couldnt help but think how much Id prefer it with the Noctua cooling combining the huge NH-D15. Needless to say, it really does hit different with awesome room presence and of course exceptionally quiet operation. Whilst Fractal Design claim the GPU support is less than that of the Strix RTX 4080 / 4090, with a little creativity and manoeuvring it is more than possible. Its worth noting that anything longer than this card simply will not fit at all! The North chassis will no doubt be remembered for a very long time due to its iconic styling. Whilst Im CRAVING a North Mini, its worth noting that North is also available in XL sizing which allows for a 360mm radiator up top too. I didnt choose it for this build as the additional space simply wouldnt be utilised. This, for me, is the perfect white Fractal North build encompassing those earthy tones, with quiet operation and ease of future upgrades. I absolutely fell in love again....
