Researchers at the University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology have launched a website that displays hundreds of 3-D images of the bones of mammoths, mastodons and other prehistoric creatures. The new University of Michigan Online Repository of Fossils is at http://umorf.ummp.lsa.umich.edu. Viewers can use a "Bone Picker" tool to pull individual bones from an animal's skeleton and examine photorealistic 3-D versions of those bones up close.
