University of Kentucky faculty, staff and leaders traveled across Western Kentucky for the inaugural Land-grant Engagement Bus Tour, experiencing firsthand how local leadership, community partnerships and university engagement are helping shape the future of the Commonwealth.
The tour included stops focused on community health partnerships, agricultural research, workforce development, arts and culture, healthcare workforce initiatives, regional collaboration and educational programs. Across each stop, the message was clear: meaningful progress begins by listening to communities and working together to create solutions that meet local needs.
For the University of Kentucky and the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, the tour reflects the land-grant mission in action. Through teaching, research and Extension, UK continues to connect university resources with communities across Kentucky to support stronger partnerships, future leaders and long-term impact.
