Gamma Ray Bursts (GRBs) are among the most energetic events in the universe, and their exact cause is still not fully understood. On the 8th of October Voyager detected a spike which would later turn out to be the brightest ever detected gamma-ray burst. It was called GRB 221009A. And this was no ordinary gamma-ray burst. It was the brightest burst that has ever been detected and the scientist calculated that these types of burst occur every 10,000 years and it seems to break many of the assumptions scientists have about their current understanding of GRBs.
