On 9th April 2025, Comcast announced that their first Universal Studios theme park resort in Europe is in development in Bedford, UK, with a targeted opening date of 2031. Kimberley Sixth Form College in Stewartby hosted Michael J. Cavanagh - President, Comcast Corporation, Rachel Reeves - Chancellor of the Exchequer, and Keir Starmer - Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, where they came together to announce the exciting project to the nation.
