Okay, let's see what re-capping this thing does.

By the time I got to this I was pretty sure it wasn't going to be the problem. On top of the more obviously bad VFD this time, the uneven lighting isn't likely to be caused by capacitors.

But Arrow was the star of this! That was a really great deal to get stuff ordered and have part the next day! Although I have found now that you don't want to count on next day parts if you order Friday.
