When I first heard Unique Melody's MEST and MEST mk2, I was super impressed. They're among the first IEMs with bone conduction drivers, and also packed some seriously impressive imaging performance. Coincidence? Well yeah probably, but years later, I still have a vivid memory of their sound. But does it actually hold up to my 2025 expectations? Unique Melody has a new variant, the MEST Jet Black, which gave me an opportunity to revisit this storied line of IEMs and see if it still holds up.
