This engine was originally built by Robin Byers in the early 2000s as an experiment to see if a Rover Meteor crankcase could be modified into a Merlin. It ran for several years without issue until the No1 main bearing failed due to distortion. I test ran it for the owner up in Scotland in 2021 to sort out a rough running issue. Lets just say I needed a shower afterwards!
