On August 5th, 2012, the Oregon Pacific Railroad held Union Pacific's "Family Days" rides between Oaks Park and the Ross Island Bridge. Power for these runs were the UP 7771 (GE ES44AC) and UP 1996 (EMD SD70ACe/Southern Pacific Heritage), along with three matching UP passenger cars. This was the first time the 1996 and the SP 4449 had been together since the Seattle/Tacoma trips in 2007.
