In this fifth episode of UNGA 79 Backstage, UN Video goes behind the scenes with the News and Media Division's Photo Unit to witness history being made. The UN Photo professional photographers offer daily coverage of meeting and events taking place at United Nations Headquarters, as well as coverage of UN Secretary-General, major activities, credentials of Member States, photo opportunities and official studio portraits. UN Photo liaises with UN offices away from headquarters, UN family organizations and peacekeeping operations, selecting photographs illustrating the work of those entities to be incorporated into the Digital Assets Management System containing the photographic history of the Organization.
