Oh boy, 2018 had a lot of these.
The thing is: this summer I got a job! It was a restaurant job, and while I loved it enough to return this month during my winter break, it was very TIME- and ENERGY-CONSUMING.
And apparently, when I have literally anything else to do, my editing inspiration vanishes!
So I had a great time and made some money, but it was a very barren year videowise. I just don’t have access to editing software/footage/etc during the school year, and when I came back home I didn’t feel like spending my (relatively limited) free time editing alone in my room. I also effectively left online fandom in 2018 (which has GREATLY improved my anxiety levels — would highly recommend), so a lot of that emotional involvement that used to go into my videos has just...disappeared? Or morphed into something else. I don’t really know. And right now I’m working on something to submit to Anime Boston 2019, but that’s pretty much all I’m in the mood to make?
I think I might just still be bitter about Voltron, though, so we’ll see how 2019 pans out when I watch some new shows, LMAO.

The TAZ fandom is way too good at animatics and I watched so many good ones that I was tempted to make my own. I got frustrated with it pretty quickly, though, since I don’t draw often enough anymore for it to come naturally to me, so I gave up. Maybe I’ll finish this one day?? This is one of my favourite Balance scenes (if not all-time favourite), so I’d like to!

THE HOMESTUCK IN ME COULDN’T RESIST. I ultimately got a lot of anxiety about this one, though, since all the pronouns in the song are gendered male and I wasn’t sure whether matching any gendered lyrics to Lup would’ve been weird/upsetting? Like I always changed the on-screen text to say “she” anytime there was a “he” lyric but I didn’t want to risk anything and I didn’t really know how to...check that...since I didn't really have any fandom ties anymore lol...so this died. Again, maybe I’ll rearrange some scenes or w/e and properly finish this off someday because I NEED IT TO EXIST.

Sadly the editing block persisted even for short videos, so this never came to be.

I remember working on this last winter and being SO SURE that we’d have some good new Klance Content to use when I came home for the summer so that I could finish this. So young. So naive. So fucking depressing in hindsight.
I can’t even bring myself to watch S7 onwards because everything I’ve heard about the show past S6 (like, shipping aside) just sounds so goddamn bad. I can’t watch it and I can’t edit it. This is probably the closest thing to a finish VLD video you’ll ever get from me again.
I was (and still am) really proud of and excited about this video. Fuck right off.
