This piece of music was conceived as a remix of Louigi Verona's "Mesmerizing Melodies of Mellow Summer Winds" (link below).
I always enjoyed his ambient soundscapes, but couldn't help wishing there was a drum section and a bass underneath to support it. I took the aforementioned piece of music and started building around it. Later I realized the original doesn't follow a steady tempo, and it all begins to fall apart. I've decided to completely remove Louigi's original piece from it and finish it as a standalone composition. I have also been collecting some vocal samples fro the past year, and I've finished the piece by adding some of that, and also recording my own vocals.
This track plays at 120 BPM. It was composed using Ardour 5.12 under Manajro Linux. I used LSP, Calf, Geonkick, TAP Tubewarmth and other libre plugins. Also Vital (it's not released at this point in time, but I'm in beta, so you can't stop me). All melodic instruments are made with Vital, programmed by myself from scratch.
Drumkits are:
- LSP Mutlisampler using stuff I recorded myself
- Fluid Drums (using stock jazz kit)
- Geonkick programmed by myself.
Vocal samples are... well. I'll leave it up to you to find out :)
