STORYLINE:
Clara watches on the TARDIS-monitor as the consulting detective Sherlock Holmes jumps from the roof of St Barts. She convinces the Doctor that he does not have to die, that it's not right and that they should stop him. Thus the Doctor takes her back in time so that she can befriend Sherlock and stop him from killing himself (Clara believes he was depressed and did not know about Moriarty's threat).
Sherlock meets Clara and is confused about how much she knows about him. He becomes slightly obsessed with her and, while researching her on the web, discovers her doppelganger in Victorian England. He tries to talk to John about this but John claims that Sherlock actually is developing feelings for Clara because she is just as clever as him. Sherlock denies this at first but as he and Clara spends more time together he realizes John is probably right. Clara also introduces him to the Doctor and explains that he is a time traveller. Sherlock thus believes that the Victorian doppelganger is his Clara and not another version of her.
However, as the two grow closer Moriarty realizes he has to target Clara in order to get Sherlock to commit suicide. The Doctor has, at the same time, figured this out and locks Clara in the TARDIS for her own protection. Standing on the roof of St Barts, Sherlock calls Clara onboard the TARDIS instead of John and asks her to do something for him (I'll keep what a secret). Clara agrees and watches as Sherlock jumps, causing the fixed point in time to remain but the circumstances surrounding it changing.
