Historical Scrapbooks are fascinating! Each is a visual diary carefully curated by an individual or group. Every page turn reveals a selection of what the creators valued, found noteworthy, and worth keeping - and more importantly, mounting for display! In many ways, scrapbooks are the Instagram profiles of the past, where people curated their favourite images and created works.
We’ll page through selections of eclectic and unusual scrapbooks from the 19th century from both collections. Join us for a fascinating lunch hour!
