We came to Louisville, Kentucky for work… but this turned into one of those RV trips where we had no idea what was going to happen next!
Our adventure started at Charlestown State Park in Indiana, where we hiked down to the ruins of Rose Island, a once-popular amusement park that was destroyed by the Great Flood of 1937. The hike was steeper than we expected, and then we came face-to-face with something we definitely weren't looking for… a copperhead! 🐍
The next morning, the rain moved in, but that didn't stop us from checking out an incredible vintage RV gathering at the campground. We got to tour some amazing old campers, meet the people who own them, and hear some of the stories behind these vintage rigs.
Then it was back to our own 2023 Holiday Rambler Endeavor, where we discovered water in the basement and had to figure out where it was coming from. Thankfully, it turned out to be a much simpler problem than the rvf water leak we feared!
And because every good RV adventure needs good food and good friends, we also met up with David and Tina from RV Wagon Tails and checked out a Louisville restaurant known as the birthplace of the cheeseburger. 🍔
This trip was full of unexpected stops, unexpected problems, great people, and plenty of RV shenanigans.
